The stationery arrived a couple of weeks ago. I was really happy about them until I found a typo on the RSVPs. See you if you can spot it:
If you haven't spotted it, the vegetarian starter should read "Blue Cheese & Red Onion Tartlet" not "Blue Cheese & Red Onion Tarlet".
H2B and FoB think it's not a big deal and that we should just use them. I'm not happy about it - I'm usually very good at spotting typos as (a small) part of my job! To replace the RSVPs would cost about £20 and at least two weeks lead time.
I've thought about this for the past couple of weeks and come to a very non-bridezilla decision: whilst it's a low cost to replace them, we're going to use them anyway, because:
Typo is not essential info on the invitation; e.g. the date or location
It is still understandable what the dish is
The RSVP is the part that gets returned to us
Twenty pounds can be used more usefully elsewhere
The RSVP Date is Friday 29th July 2011 and that's already on the invitation and counting down!
